Atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for producing high levels of ozone pollution in the Tyler-Longview area on Sunday. You can help prevent ozone pollution by sharing a ride, walking or riding a bicycle, taking your lunch to work, avoiding drive-through lanes, conserving energy, and keeping your vehicle properly tuned. If required...the next Ozone Action Day notice will be issued by 300 pm on Sunday. Sabine River At Longview affecting Gregg and Rusk Counties. For the Sabine River...including Mineola, Hawkins, Gladewater, Longview, Beckville, Logansport...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Sabine River at Longview. * WHEN...Until late Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Expect minor lowland flooding with boat ramps flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 25.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 21.7 feet Thursday evening. - Flood stage is 25.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Do not drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
