Trinity River at Riverside affecting Polk, Trinity, San Jacinto and Walker Counties. Brazos River near Rosharon affecting Fort Bend and Brazoria Counties. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas... Brazos River at Richmond affecting Fort Bend County. Brazos River at US 59, Sugar Land, TX affecting Fort Bend County. Navasota River near Normangee affecting Madison, Grimes and Brazos Counties. For the Trinity River...including Crockett, Riverside, Goodrich, Liberty, Moss Bluff...Major flooding is forecast. For the Brazos River...including US 59, Sugar Land, TX, Richmond, Rosharon...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Trinity River near Goodrich. * WHEN...Until early Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 36.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding begins as water spreads out over fields and threatens buildings in the immediate vicinity of the gage. At 38.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding begins. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 38.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 36.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 2:45 PM CDT Friday was 39.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Sunday afternoon and continue falling to 33.8 feet early Wednesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 36.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 38.3 feet on 11/07/2002. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
