Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas and near burn scars. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Heavy rainfall produced by thunderstorms may lead to flash flooding. Rainfall rates in excessive of 1 inch per hour are possible under heavier thunderstorms. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Flash Flood Warning issued July 14 at 9:11PM MDT until July 14 at 10:30PM MDT by NWS Great Falls MT At 911 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Lewistown and Glengarry. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
