Flood Advisory issued July 4 at 7:43PM CDT until July 4 at 10:45PM CDT by NWS New Orleans LA * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...North Central Tangipahoa Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Northwestern Washington Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Pike County in southern Mississippi... Walthall County in southern Mississippi... * WHEN...Until 1045 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 743 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mccomb, Magnolia, Summit, Tylertown, Salem, Mount Herman, Dexter and Mccomb Airport. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
