Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 100 Tuesday. * WHERE...In Minnesota, Crow Wing, Aitkin, Pine, Cass, and Carlton and South St. Louis Counties. In Wisconsin, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Sawyer, and Washburn Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band, the Red Cliff Band, the Fond du Lac Band, the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, the St. Croix Band in Burnett County, the Bad River Reservation and the Mille Lacs Band, Hinckley, Lena Lake, East Lake and, Big Sandy Lake areas. Other locations including the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and Madeline Island. * WHEN...Until 9 PM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events.
