In north central Kentucky, Henry, Larue, Nelson, Shelby, Spencer and Washington KY. In south central Kentucky, Adair, Allen, Barren, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Hart, Lincoln, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell and Taylor. * WHEN...Until midnight EDT /11 PM CDT/ tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Woodford County in central Kentucky... Anderson County in central Kentucky... Eastern Washington County in central Kentucky... Southern Franklin County in central Kentucky... * Until 445 PM EDT. * At 350 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Shelbyville, moving southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Frankfort, Lawrenceburg, Versailles, Ballard, Midway, Bloomfield, Willisburg, Mackville, Fairfield, and Slickway. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Shelby County in central Kentucky... * WHEN...Until 630 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 334 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Shelbyville, La Grange, Worthington Hills, Coldstream, Crestwood, Simpsonville, Orchard Grass Hills, Pewee Valley and Owen. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
