Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Clinton and Scott Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S. * WHEN...Until Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Overbank flooding occurs. Water affects residences along the river between Wheatland and Calamus. Water affects businesses along the river near Calamus. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 12.2 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:30 AM CDT Friday was 12.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening and continue falling to 9.4 feet Friday, July 17. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
