Flood Watch issued June 26 at 1:32AM CDT until June 27 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Paducah KY * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the following areas, Alexander, Edwards, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Massac, Perry IL, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, Wabash, Wayne IL, White and Williamson, southwest Indiana, including the following areas, Gibson, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh and Warrick, western Kentucky, including the following areas, Henderson and Union KY, and southeast Missouri, including the following areas, Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Perry MO, Ripley, Scott, Stoddard and Wayne MO. * WHEN...Through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of thunderstorms are expected through Saturday. Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site. .Minor flooding continues on the lower White River and the lower Wabash. Additional rainfall over the next few days is expected to bring additional crests to the these rivers including spots that have gone below flood and bring additional minor flooding or lengthen the amount of time above flood stage for the lower White and lower Wabash rivers. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Mount Carmel. * WHEN...Until Thursday, July 02. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, River Road in the Mount Carmel, Illinois area begins to flood. Lowland flooding in progress. A few local river roads are closed by high water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 PM EDT Thursday /6:45 PM CDT Thursday/ the stage was 19.9 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 PM EDT Thursday /6:45 PM CDT Thursday/ was 20.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.7 feet Monday evening.
