HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Prairieton, Prairie Creek, Riley, Cory, and Pimento. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Flood Advisory issued July 4 at 7:49PM EDT until July 4 at 11:00PM EDT by NWS Indianapolis IN * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Vigo County in west central Indiana... * WHEN...Until 1100 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 749 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.75 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Terre Haute, West Terre Haute, Prairieton, Prairie Creek, Seelyville, Riley, Indiana State University, North Terre Haute, Pimento, Shepardsville, Sandford and Fontanet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
