Special Weather Statement issued July 18 at 4:28PM MDT by NWS Boise ID At 427 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles west of Castleford, or 28 miles southwest of Jerome, moving north at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Areas of blowing dust possible. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of west central Twin Falls and east central Owyhee Counties. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
