Flood Watch issued June 20 at 2:54PM EDT until June 20 at 11:00PM EDT by NWS Jacksonville FL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Georgia, including the following areas, Appling, Atkinson, Bacon, Brantley, Coffee, Jeff Davis, Northern Ware, Pierce and Wayne. * WHEN...Until 11 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Several areas are already saturated from storms yesterday. Additional showers and thunderstorms expected with amounts of 1 inch, to near 3 to 4 inches. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Flood Advisory issued June 20 at 5:08PM EDT until June 20 at 7:15PM EDT by NWS Jacksonville FL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Georgia, including the following counties, Bacon, Coffee, Pierce and Ware. * WHEN...Until 715 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 508 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Saturated soils from previous heavy rain may lead to flooding developing quickly. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Alma, Nicholls, Bristol, New Lacy and Bickley. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
