Special Weather Statement issued June 21 at 6:37AM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL Surface observations, satellite imagery, and local traffic cameras indicate patchy dense fog has developed across portions of southern Brevard, southern Osceola, Okeechobee, Indian River, Saint Lucie, and Martin counties this morning. Visibilities of one half a mile or less at times will be possible through 9 am. Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution if encountering fog this morning. Slow down, increase following distance, and use low-beam headlights when driving through patchy, dense fog. Plan ahead for extra travel time to destinations.

Rip Current Statement issued June 21 at 4:07AM EDT until June 22 at 4:00AM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL * WHAT...Dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...Brevard, Indian River, Saint Lucie and Martin counties. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in the sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as jetties and piers. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags and signs. Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
