Flood Watch issued July 5 at 3:15PM EDT until July 6 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of northern Delaware, including the following area, New Castle, New Jersey, including the following areas, Camden, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Northwestern Burlington, Salem, Somerset, Sussex, Warren and Western Monmouth, and Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Berks, Carbon, Delaware, Eastern Chester, Eastern Montgomery, Lehigh, Lower Bucks, Monroe, Northampton, Philadelphia, Upper Bucks, Western Chester and Western Montgomery. * WHEN...Through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected to impact the area this afternoon through Monday. Heat Advisory issued July 5 at 12:08PM EDT until July 5 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ * WHAT...Heat index values of 100 to 105 expected. * WHERE...In Delaware, Kent, New Castle, Delaware Beaches, and Inland Sussex Counties. In Maryland, Caroline, Kent MD, Queen Annes, and Talbot Counties. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures and heat indices will not be quite as high today as they have been the past couple days. However impacts are still expected especially given the long duration of high temperatures and humidity. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

Upper Delaware Bay... * Until 830 PM EDT. * At 705 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 10 nm southwest of Woodland Beach, or 13 nm southwest of Ship John Shoal Light, moving north at 15 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Woodland Beach, Sea Breeze, Stony Point, Ship John Shoal Light, Pea Patch Island, and Reedy Point. Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or the National Weather Service.
