Special Weather Statement issued June 26 at 10:29PM MDT by NWS Denver CO At 1029 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of showers extending from near Meeker Park to near Central City, or extending from 32 miles southwest of Fort Collins to 33 miles west of Denver, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Western Boulder, Lyons, Nederland, Jamestown, Ward, Gold Hill, Summerville, Wallstreet, Salina, Sunshine, Crisman, Raymond, Peaceful Valley, Allenspark, Brainard Lake, Pinecliffe and Rollinsville. Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. If on or near a lake, get out of the water and secure loose items. Boaters can expect strong gusty winds and locally higher waves. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately. Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until this storm passes.
