Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A Flood Watch has been issued for north east Alabama and southern middle Tennessee due to anticipated rainfall from Helene as the tropical system moves inland. 3-4 inches of rain are forecast for area in the Flood Watch with locally higher totals of 5-6 inches possible. The highest risk for Flash Flooding will be overnight Thursday into Friday morning. Terrain influences may lead to enhanced runoff increasing the Flash Flood threat in valley locations.
