Heavy Rain Risk Area The moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the low pressure cell cover upper Vietnam. Isolated heavy rains are forecast in the North, the Northeast and the East while less rain is likely in the South. The moderate wind forces the wave in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to about 2 meters high, the lower Andaman Sea and the lower Gulf, the waves are expected 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. People in the upper country should beware of heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
