Heavy Rain Risk Area The southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf is strengthening while the low pressure cell covers over upper Vietnam with more rains. The moderate wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are expected about 2 meters high, 1-2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and the Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In addition, Typhoon “MEKKHALA” over the Pacific Ocean, east of the Phillipines is expected to move to the south of Japan. This strom is not move to Thailand. People in the areas should beware of thundershowers and its accumulations. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
