Heavy Rain Risk Area The strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the low-pressure cell covers upper Vietnam. Isolated heavy rains are forecast in Thailand and isolated very heavy rains are possible in the western part of the Central, the East and the South(west coast) regions. The strong wind forces the wave in the upper Andaman Sea up to be 2-4 meters high and above 4 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, the waves are expected 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In addition, typhoon “BAVI” over Zhejiang, China is expected to downgrade to tropical storm and tropical depression, respectively. The storm is forecast to not move to Thailand. The travelers should check the weather forecast for the region you're going to be visiting. People in the areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should keep ashore lasting 15 July 2026. People along the coast in the South (west coast) should beware of inshore surges.
