Heavy Rain Risk Area The southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf is strengthening while the low-pressure cell covers upper Vietnam with more rain in the South and isolated heavy rains remains in the North, the upper Northeast and the East regions. The wind and waves prevailing over the Andaman Sea and the Gulf is strengthening. The strong wind forces the wave in the upper Andaman Sea upto 2-4 meters high and above 4 meters high in thundershowers while 2-3 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In addition, typhoon “BAVI” over Pacific Ocean or the eastern part of Taiwan and make landfall over the eastern part of China during 11–12 July 2026. The storm is forecast to not move to Thailand. The travelers should check the weather forecast for the region you're going to be visiting. People in the areas should beware of heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should keep ashore by lasting 15 July 2026. People along the coast of Southwest region should beware of rough wave.
