severe thunderstorm warning in effect At 7:34 p.m. MST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain. Satellite imagery indicates a strong thunderstorm in the vicinity of Highway 97, about 20 km east of Summit Lake. This thunderstorm is moving slowly northwards. ### Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
