South Peace River. When: For Lake District and Chilcotin - overnight into Friday morning. For Stuart-Nechako and east - Friday during the day. Hazards: Very strong wind gusts, and moist soil conditions could lead to broken tree branches, or tree falls. Remarks: An intense low pressure system will cross northern BC on Friday. Moderate to strong southeast winds ahead of this system are expected to continue tonight. As the storm moves inland on Friday, a period of very strong westerly winds will develop in its wake. ### Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. High winds may result in power outages and fallen tree branches. Motorists, especially in high profile vehicles, may expect hazardous driving conditions on highways subject to strong cross winds.
